Everest appoints Joe Fobert as Head of US Retail Casualty & Industry Practices

Global insurance and reinsurance firm Everest has announced the appointment of Joe Fobert as Head of U.S. Retail Casualty and Industry Practices for Everest Insurance.
In his new role, Fobert will report to William Hazelton, Executive Vice President of Everest Insurance and President of North America Insurance.
Fobert brings more than 30 years of commercial underwriting experience. He joins Everest after 11 years at Chubb, where he most recently served as Head of Major Accounts Excess Casualty and Chairman of the Global Casualty Product Board.
Prior to that, he spent 13 years at AIG, managing primary casualty lines for AIG Risk Management and Casualty for Florida Risk Specialists, Lexington’s wholesale distribution arm. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Crum & Forster and Selective Insurance.
Hazelton expressed enthusiasm for Fobert’s appointment, stating, “Joe is an accomplished industry leader with a proven track record of scaling businesses and achieving consistent, profitable growth.
“His deep expertise in large account excess casualty lines, strategic vision and collaborative leadership, make him the ideal choice to lead the ongoing transformation of our U.S. Casualty portfolio.
