Global Parametrics appoints Jacob as London Market Business Development Director

Global Parametrics, a CelsiusPro Group company, has announced the appointment of Ola Jacob as London Market Business Development Director.

Jacob will leverage his over 13 years of experience to drive the expansion of CelsiusPro Group’s parametric solutions through the London Market, aiding private- and public-sector clients in enhancing their climate resilience.

The executive joins Global Parametrics from Descartes Underwriting, where he most recently served as UK & Ireland Business Development Director for parametric solutions.

Jacob also spent over four years at FloodFlash, having joined the company in 2019 as an Account Executive and being appointed Broker Success Manager shortly after.

He also worked as Insurance Advisor at Tapoly, and served as an Innovation Advisor at Lloyd’s, where later became a member of the Management Board of Lloyd’s Community Programme.

Jacob also spent over four years at Arthur J. Gallagher International before joining Alesco Risk Management Services, where he worked for over two years.

Commenting on his new appointment at Global Parametrics, Jacob said: “I look forward to working with insurers and brokers to accelerate the penetration of parametric insurance, giving clients the best protection against climate and NatCat risks.”
