Aspida Life Re appoints Elinor Friedman to Board of Directors

Bermuda-based life and annuity reinsurance company Aspida Life Re has announced the appointment of Elinor Friedman to its Board of Directors.

Friedman is a seasoned actuary bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the re/insurance industry.

She spent over two decades at WTW, serving as Managing Director (MD) from 2013 to 2024, where she provided consulting services to large and mid-size insurers and reinsurers, including sell-side appraisals, buy-side due diligence, product development, and pricing.

During her time as MD, Friedman also led the Life Division and served as the Sales and Practice Leader for the Americas leadership team within the Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) line of business.

Before joining WTW, she was a Product Actuary at General American Life Insurance Company, focusing on life product development and pricing. She also served as Assistant Actuary at RGA/Swiss Financial Group, specialising in reinsurance transactions, actuarial pricing, and risk analysis.
